Orders

Letโ€™s go further. Actually โ€” letโ€™s take it one step further and break down the whole task using a simple example.

You have a client who has requested the shipment of around 1,000 units of goods stored in your warehouse. The goods are of different SKUs and quantities.

Which brings us to the next key concept โ€” the order.

An order, in our understanding, is a document that contains the following information:

  1. List of goods to be shipped from the warehouse
  2. Shipment date
  3. Recipient of the goods
  4. Shipping warehouse (client)
  5. ...and more

In other words, a set of data required to carry out a shipment from the warehouse.

So, to ship goods from the warehouse, the first thing weโ€™ll need is an order.
