Order Shipment

A dedicated mechanism in the WMS that allows you to:

  1. Manage loading/unloading queues.

Essentially, it functions like an electronic queue systemโ€”similar to what you might have seen in banks or government institutions. In the context of a warehouse, it typically works as follows:
    1. Each driver must register in the system upon entering the premises.
    2. After registration, the driver waits for their turn in the queue.
    3. When a gate becomes available, the driver receives the gate number via SMS or sees it displayed on a screen.

  2. On the warehouse side, the WMS manages the release of gates and assigns the next driver in the queue. It also ensures that only the specific goods or orders associated with that particular operation are shipped or received.

Naturally, such a system is only necessary for large warehouses with high throughput. If you have just one gate and a couple of shipments per day, you can easily manage without this system.
